Positive affirmations are part of the new spiritual norm. Self healing and mindfulness now challenge the traditional ideologies of penance and punishment in spiritual ritual.
These looped textile art pieces are designed to be worn, hung or held. Each piece hides a different psychological ‘affirmation’ written in a literal Morse Code ‘dot’ and ‘dash’ form rather than it’s binary form.
I am interested in the concepts of shame that still permeate our emotional landscape. I use Morse Code as a method of communicating ‘privately but in plain sight’.
